Chelsea Eyes Bournemouth’s Rising Star for Summer Transfer Boost

Chelsea Football Club is reportedly showing interest in Bournemouth’s young left-back, Milos Kerkez, ahead of a potential summer transfer.

The 20-year-old Hungarian defender has caught the eye with his impressive performances for the Cherries in the Premier League this season.

According to Ben Jacobs , Chelsea has deployed scouts to closely monitor Kerkez as they weigh up a move for the talented youngster. However, it remains to be seen whether the London side will make a formal offer for his services.

The potential pursuit of Kerkez by Chelsea comes as manager Mauricio Pochettino seeks to bolster his defensive options, particularly in the left-back position. Despite the arrival of Marc Cucurella from Brighton and Hove Albion, the Argentine coach is reportedly keen on adding further depth to his squad.

Kerkez’s burgeoning reputation as one of Europe’s most promising young full-backs has not gone unnoticed, with the Hungarian even making the final shortlist for the prestigious Golden Boy award in 2023.

With Chelsea rumored to have a significant transfer budget of around £200 million for the upcoming summer window, owner Todd Boehly is said to be determined to strengthen the squad following a disappointing league campaign.

Currently languishing in tenth place in the Premier League, Chelsea will be looking to bolster their ranks in order to improve their fortunes on the pitch.
