Manchester United defender Harry Maguire has reacted to England’s draw against the USA on Friday night in the Qatar World Cup.
Manchester United defender Harry Maguire has confirmed that he’s disappointed England didn’t get the win over the USA but felt honoured to have made his 50th cap for the Three Lions.
Maguire made his 50th appearance for England on Friday night against the USA as the Three Lions were held to a frustrating drab goalless draw.
The Man United skipper was one of the best players on the pitch and helped England keep their first clean sheet in the Qatar World Cup.
After playing 90 minutes for England, he said on Twitter: “Disappointed not to get the win tonight but still a huge honour to make my 50th @England cap.
“Some amazing memories along the way and hopefully many more to come. Thanks to my family, staff, teammates and fans for all your support.”
Harry Maguire also played a huge role in England’s run to 2nd place in the Euro 2020 and will look to replicate the same form in Qatar.
The Three Lions have four points after two matches and will look to beat Wales next week as they would want to finish as the winners of Group B.
