Chelsea faced Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Saturday, January 4, 2025.
The Blues played a 1-1 draw as Cole Palmer opened the scoring, while Jean-Phillipe Mateta scored for Palace.
Following the draw, Maresca said: “We did enough to win the game today. Between the first and second-halves we created enough chances to win the game but we need to be clinical. Unfortunately at the end, we conceded but overall I think we did enough to win the game.
“Two weeks ago, three weeks ago, we were talking about the title race. We knew that Newcastle and Villa would be there, City too. For me, it’s not about the table but how we can improve things.”
