Florida has signed former Ottawa forward Chris Tierney to a one-year deal.

The contract with the 28-year-old is a two-way deal. The salary will be $750,000 at the NHL level and $400,000 in the AHL. 

Last season he played for Ottawa and scored 18 (6+12) points in 70 games with a minus-12 assist, 49.7 per cent save percentage and a 12:24 avg.

The forward has a league total of 561 games and 226 (73+153) points. In the Stanley Cup, he has 40 games and 12 (5+7) points.

His average salary on his last 3-year contract, signed with the Sens in 2019, was $3.5 million.
