The term of the contract with the 44-year-old Englishman is not specified.

The coach’s previous contract with the magpies was valid until the summer of 2024.

Howe headed Newcastle in November last year, when the team occupied the penultimate place in the APL table, scoring 5 points in 11 rounds. In the end, the Magpies finished 11th.

In February 2022, Howe was named the best coach in the league.
