Today’s Prydis Handicap Hurdle is a Class 4 contest with 12 runners and after a thorough look on the card Crank Em Up is my selection for the race.
Crank Em Up has four runs over hurdles this season, he has won 1 of them and has been in the top 5 on the other 3 occasions. He can stay the distance having run 3 mile on 3 of his hurdle starts.
The ground was the deciding factor for me, today’s going is soft and the bay gelding has a 100% strike rate (2/2) on soft ground.
Taking all that into consideration he is overpriced at 8/1 in my opinion, and Crank Em Up has an excellent each way chance although, in my opinion, he’s worth backing to win.
