Borna Coric:
Ćorić has been in the spotlight since the recent events. Shortly before the US Open, he sensationally took the title at the Masters in Cincinnati.
At that tournament, Borna amassed an incredible collection of victories, beating Rafael Nadal, Roberto Bautista-Agut, Felix Auger Aliassime, Cameron Norrie and Stefanos Tsitsipas.
This was the first real serious success for Coric after a serious shoulder injury which forced him to miss almost the whole of last season and the beginning of this one.
In the first round of the US Open, Borna defeated Enzo Couacaud (6-2, 7-6, 3-6, 4-6, 7-5). Borna led 2-0 in sets, but the winner was decided in the fifth set. Coric got the better of Enzo, but it was clear that he was expected to win by a more convincing score.
Coric has managed to progress beyond the second round in only one Grand Slam tournament out of the last 5.

Jenson Brooksby:
Brooksby, meanwhile, had no problems at all in the first round. He had an easy match against Dusan Lajovic (6-2, 6-0, 3-0).
Dusan retired in the third set. Apparently, his opponent had problems with his health due to the difficult weather conditions. Not everyone can cope with the heat.
All in all, it’s hard to say yet what Brooksby is capable of. However, it is worth noting that his recent tournaments were not very convincing, performing poorly in both Montreal and Cincinnati.
In four of Brooksby’s last five matches, the tie-break has not been played.
