Brighton & Hove Albion v Nottingham Forest Betting Tip

This fixture sees two clubs who have had reasonably successful starts to the season go head-to-head.

The Seagulls managed to secure what should be described as a good 0-0 draw away at Derby in their league opener and then battered Colchester United 4-0 in the League Cup. If Chris Hughton’s side can pick up maximum points against Nottingham Forest then another promotion campaign for 2016/17 looks very likely.

Of course this match against Forest will be difficult with Philippe Montanier’s team in good form. They picked up three points against newly-promoted Burton Albion in an entertaining 4-3 win at the City Ground before seeing off Doncaster Rovers at the Keepmoat in the League Cup.

There is no short of attacking talent at Forest and having Britt Assombalonga back after a long injury layoff is like a new signing. However, it must be noted that the Reds have conceded four goals in their opening two games this season so are clearly vulnerable at the back.

When you look at both Brighton’s and Forest’s recent matches, there is only one word needed – goals. With both of these sides good going forward, I expect more of the same on Friday night and would go with over 2.5 goals total at 5/4, whilst Both Teams to Score is 26/25. Both look worthwhile punts in this fixture.

Although, there is likely to be goals in this fixture, it’s hard not to fancy Brighton to score most of them. Defensively Forest could really struggle against a side of Brighton’s calibre and thus the hosts are fancied to come out on top in what should be an entertaining, goal-filled game.
