Arthur Rinderknech
Arthur Rinderknech faced a fellow Frenchman (Quentin Halys) who has also been going through the same problems (lack of form and fitness) as him and secured a four-set comeback win to reach the second round at the US Open for the second consecutive season.
Making his debut at the US Open in 2021, he scored a hard-fought five-set comeback win in the first round and took a set off Carlos Alcaraz in the second round. He was forced to withdraw from the second-round match at the Australian Open earlier this year due to injury, and he hasn’t been the same player since.
