Bookmaker Ratings: Prediction One – Handicap (-3) for Rublev – 1.55.
Bookmaker Ratings: Prediction Two – Total Games Over 19.5 – 1.55.
Coria is always excellent on the clay. Even when the opponent is high-seeded, Federico tries to resist him. He is unlikely to play any differently against Rublev. However, I think, Rublev will get an easy win.
Coria is highly motivated, so we expect resistance from him. The fact that he has already played one match in Bastad also speaks in favour of Federico. Federico has adjusted to the clay. This should help him against Rublev.
Coria defeated Federico Delbonis (0-6, 6-4, 6-4) in the first round. The start of the match was as bad as it gets, with his opponent taking the first set (6-0).
In spite of this, Federico managed to come up with a comeback. He took the second and third sets with a score of 6-4.
In early July, a week after losing in the first round of Wimbledon, Coria appeared on the Challenger in Braunschweig, Germany. The Argentine won two matches before losing to Henri Laaksonen (4-6, 3-6).
Coria reached the final in Bastad last year. In the decisive match, he lost to Casper Ruud (3-6, 3-6).
Coria had previously played against players from the top 10 four times and lost each time with a score of 2-0 by sets.
For Rublev, it will be his first match since June 13, when he lost to Nikoloz Basilashvili (6-7, 4-6) at a tournament in Halle.
During the forced pause, Andrey trained in Barcelona with Dominic Thiem.
Rublev probably wouldn’t have gone to Bastad and other tournaments in July if he and other Russians had been allowed to play at Wimbledon. What he needs now is playing practice before the American series.
Earlier this season, Rublev won tournaments in Marseille, Dubai and Belgrade. He is currently ranked 8th in the current rankings.
Rublev has eight consecutive ATP 250 wins under his belt.
In four of Coria’s last five matches, less than 9.5 games have been played in the first set. We offer to bet on “1st Set Games – Under 9.5” with odds of 1.87.
