Prediction on Le Havre vs PSG

For our first game of the season which features Le Havre vs PSG, we saw a very comfortable 4-1 win for last season’s Champions. Last season’s 3-3 draw between these two sides came after PSG had already secured the title and it is the only time Le Havre have managed to take any sort of point from PSG in any of their previous league meetings, and we think it will be business as usual for PSG this time as they look to kickstart their title defence.

For our second prediction in this game we are going for over 2.5 goals to be scored in the game. Usually when PSG plays you expect goals and that is especially true when they play bottom-sides like Le Havre, although PSG are now missing Kylian Mbappe due to his summer exit from the club, three goals in this match shouldn’t be much of a problem.

Le Havre narrowly escaped being relegated last season as they finished just one spot above the relegation spots, despite losing to Olympique Marseille on the final day of the season. Le Havre did not quite have the financial muscle to strengthen but did get three new players on free transfer while welcoming a few others back from loan, while they might not challenge for the league, they’ll be hoping to avoid the end of season relegation fight.

PSG

The biggest news of the summer for PSG was losing Kylian Mbappe on a free transfer to Real Madrid, while that is a very big loss we do not expect it to affect PSG much on the domestic front, they remain favourites to lift the Ligue 1 trophy this season, and this match will be an opportunity to make a big statement of intent. PSG overall have a pretty good enough squad to retain their title, and having an average age of 23.9, they have quite a young squad too, so could dominate for a while.
