At the Metz tournament, the former world #7 lost in the first round to Dominic Thiem (3-6, 6-7).
It is worth noting that the experienced Gasquet won two matches at the US Open against some pretty serious opponents – Taro Daniel (6-4, 6-7, 6-2, 6-2) and Miomir Kecmanovic (6-2, 6-4, 4-6, 6-4).

Nakashima took his first ATP title in late September by winning a tournament in his native San Diego.
