Sevilla – Real Betis. Alexander Vishnevskiy’s prediction
Betis lost 0:2 against Sevilla in the first leg match. Then, they suffered another defeat in the league and had their head coach Pepe Mel sacked. The white-greens were headed by reserve team coach Juan Merino. But it has already been announced that he will only be interim coach and soon the team will be headed by another specialist. Merino said at a press conference, that all the strongest players will play in the derby and they will do everything possible to avenge their defeat in the first game.
The chances for that are tiny, of course. Sevilla’s got a very solid advantage after the first game, plus they play at home and are the much better team. But Unai Emery has made it clear that the starting 11 won’t be optimal.
However, it is still a derby. The status of the match will not allow Sevilla to fool around. But I think, Betis still have good chances to score, given the fact that some of Sevilla’s leaders will rest. Tremoulinas, Cristoforo, Vitolo and Immobile were left out of the roster for the match, plus many other players will be on the bench.
My first thought was to bet on total over 2.5 goals, but the odds on both teams to score are better. So I think, there will be an exchange of goals. The score 1:1 is quite possible.
