Thiago Alcantara Finally Explains The Reason For Liverpool’s Poor Form This Season
The 31-year-old Spanish International didn’t make it to Qatar 2022 World Cup with his countryside as the manager already has various options for his position.
Making reference to Liverpool mentality at the moment, Alcantara admitted that the team has been in a tough shape this season but there are reasons for the decline in the squad performance.
“It is not just about physical stuff, it is something psychological because we were so close to winning everything and we just touched it but sadly it went away.”
“I think the bad moments we have to be together as a team. Last season we had one of the greatest seasons I’ve ever had in my life. This season is not one of the best but it doesn’t matter.”
“It is a challenge. We have great quality and great guys to sort it out and we will do that. We are in the reality to go game-by-game and get points to help us to be as high as possible. Our aim is the next game. Not to be in the top four or the Europa League.”
Thiago has been a big part of Liverpool’s history since his arrival in the summer of 2020. He won the FA Cup and League Cup then went ahead to win the community shield against Man City before this season began.
The midfield mysterio was among the squad who were going all out for the quadruple last season, although they couldn’t achieve it but the impact they would have made will be historical as no team have been able to do so since the history of the English football.
