A point might be enough for Portugal and by the time they take to the pitch for this third and final group match, they’ll have a pretty good idea of what it is they need to make it through. Still, they need to win to win the group and I think it’s within their reach. They’ll be more determined than ever as they approach this one after being held to two frustrating draws against both Iceland and Austria. Games in which they dominated without really finding a cutting edge.
Although they did lack a killer instinct in the final third, Portugal did indeed create tons of chances against both Austria and Iceland and there’s no reason to think this game will be any different. Especially since Hungary, lest we forget, were badly rattled by Iceland. Hungary know that they are pretty much through regardless, whereas Portugal need to make a statement here. And this is where they can announce themselves as having finally arrived at EURO 2016 . Take Portugal -1 on the handicap at 11/10.
