Russia v Wales: Tancredi Palmeri’s betting tip
After taking a point off of England, Russia were in a position to perhaps build momentum, but after a poor second match display they have lost all confidence, gifting two goals to Slovakia. They haven’t necessarily played badly but lapses in concentration at key times have probably cost them dear. Overall though they don’t deserve to be so low in the table for the surprising quality of football they showed, but the problem is that their group is dominated by teams who’re building momentum and Russia have done exactly the opposite.
Wales are alive and kicking and even after the defeat in the last minute against England they still appeared focused and determined to make it through to the final 16. Finishing second would mean everything for the Welsh as this would likely result in them facing Iceland and not Spain or Germany in the next round. To do this, a draw would likely be enough, unless Slovakia manage to beat England. This means the Welsh might just approach this one with a mindset where they make sure they give nothing away and keep things tight at the back. A draw, at 19/10, is the way to go here.
