Welsh Open 2016: Day 3. Vladimir Sinitsin’s prediction
There are three matches between equal opponents on the third day, so I’d like to mention them. We can go for total match frames over 5.5 in a couple of games. The odds on that in Graeme Dott vs Marko Fu game are too low (1.50). Liang Wenbo against Michael White are backed at 1.61 to play over 5.5 frames. And there are no lines to bet on total overs/unders on the Dechawat Poomjaeng vs Yu De Lu at all. So I suggest taking a total over 5.5 frames in Wenbo vs White game at 1.61.
The Thai is likely to win the Asian derby. Dechawat is now an experienced player and he is higher than Yu in rating. He won their last face to face match 5:1. We can expect him to win.
Both Graeme Dott and Marko Fu are experienced and skillful players. Marko has the higher rating and plays more traditionally. And Marko Fu has been showing not his best game since the Masters tournament. Graeme Dott will show his killer instinct but the game should be equal. Maybe all seven frames will be played. So who will win: Marko’s calmness or Graeme’s fighting spirit? With Fu’s dead drop period Dott should defeat him.
