Alisson Becker to miss FA Community Shield
The Reds will face Manchester City in the Community Shield on Saturday, July 30 ahead of the new season’s kick-off.
Ahead of the game, Klopp provided an update on Alisson Becker and Diogo Jota as they are both currently sidelined with injuries.
Alisson is out with an abdominal injury, meanwhile, Jota is currently out with a hamstring issue.
“No, Alisson and Diogo have no [chance]. Ali trained today more than the day before so he will be definitely available for Fulham, but not for the weekend,” Klopp said.
“And the same for Diogo. Diogo was not here with us so how could he play a football game? That will take a while unfortunately. That’s it.”
