Manchester United anticipates Jadon Sancho’s departure, with Borussia Dortmund exploring a swap deal.

Manchester United is bracing for the departure of Jadon Sancho, with discussions underway for a potential swap deal involving Borussia Dortmund.

As reported by the reputable German outlet BILD, Dortmund is contemplating proposing a swap that could see Donyell Malen moving to Old Trafford.

Erik ten Hag, the Dutch coach at Manchester United, has reportedly expressed interest in Donyell Malen, a key player for Edin Terzic’s team. The valuation of Malen is in the vicinity of £26 million. It is believed that Ten Hag may include the Dutch winger in negotiations for any prospective deal in January.

Jadon Sancho, who has been excluded from the first-team squad at Manchester United due to behavioral issues following their defeat to Arsenal in September, appears to be on the outs with Ten Hag. The German report indicates that Terzic, having previously worked successfully with Sancho at Dortmund, is keen on a reunion.

The history between Terzic and Sancho includes their joint triumph in winning the DFL Pokal in 2021. A return to Germany could potentially rejuvenate Sancho’s career, but the complexities surrounding his departure from Old Trafford in January cannot be understated.
