Dominic took the first set on a tie-break, but Marin ended up with a comeback. It was pretty spectacular. Although, this match was one more confirmation that Thiem is still not back to his previous form after a serious injury.
Cilic was to face Liam Brody in the quarter-finals, but the Briton was unable to appear due to injury.
Cilic has won five of his last six matches.
