France v Romania. Valeri Karpin’s prediction
It is the Euro opener and the hosts will be playing with full support of their fans which will be incredible. It is going to be a tough game for Romania considering they are not on Frances’ level. Everything, including the support of the stadium, is against them.
France are considered as favourites in this match and bookies say that they have the best chance of winning the tournament. They should defeat Romania to prove this and I doubt they will slip up.
The attacking line of the French, including Giroud and Pogba, is brilliant. They scored three goals in the 1st half against Scotland in their last friendly so I cannot see them scoring fewer than two goals here. Maybe Romania will be able to respond as we should not write them off either. Therefore, my betting advice here is to go for over 2.5 goals and France to win at 21/20.
