Karolína Plíšková v Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova – Anna Chakvetadze’s Betting Tip
Plíšková has looked very good recently, winning the 2016 WTA Premier tournament in Cincinnati from which she has not looked back, especially in terms of her excellent serve which seems to be going from strength to strength. What’s more is the fact that she’s faced a weak opponent in the first round and is likely to be far less exerted than many.
Statistics of matches between Plíšková and Pavlyuchenkova are entirely in the Czech’s favour. They have played each other three times with Plíšková winning in straight sets on each occasion, the last time being in Sydney this year.
Although this is a dangerous statistic that can change very quickly, I have got plenty of confidence in Plíšková.
Pavlyuchenkova struggled to get passed Kristina Mladenovic and she would have expended a lot of energy in that match so I am not sure the Russian will be able to do much against Plíšková.
All in all, Plíšková is in a good place after her win in Cincinnati so she should come through here. I imagine that Karolina will win in two sets as it will be difficult for Anastasia to sustain her attacks.
