Check out our prediction on Wolves vs Everton as both teams will strive to bounce back to winning ways after last weekend’s defeats in the Premier League.
We predict Everton to beat Wolves 2-1 away from home in the Premier League and this is why. Everton may be struggling to avoid relegation this season but they showed what they can do under immense pressure as avoiding relegation in injury time when they thrashed Brighton 5-1 away from home. Everton may not be the favourites, but they have what it takes to squeeze out tight wins from unbelievable situations.
I may have backed Wolverhampton to lose at home to Everton but I haven’t ruled out the Wanderers’ chances of scoring against the Toffees. Everton haven’t kept a clean sheet in their last five matches and I don’t expect them to keep one against Julen Lopotegui’s side.
Wolves failed to extend their winning run to two matches when they succumbed to a 2-0 defeat to Manchester United at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon. The Wanderers have won two and lost three of their last five Premier League matches but despite their inconsistent form, Julen Lopotegui’s side has avoided relegation to the Championship with two matches left.
Everton need to win their remaining two league matches to finish outside the relegation zone, although this is dependent on the likes of Leicester City and Leeds United not winning their remaining games. Their safety remains in their hand, hence they have a huge reason to beat Wolves this weekend and successfully react to last weekend’s 3-0 home loss to Manchester City.
