Shareef is the son of NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal. Shaq previously commented on the 22-year-old basketball player, “I raised Yannis with a shot.” Shareef was not selected in the recent NBA draft. Shareef missed the 2018/19 season due to heart surgery. He played the last two years for Louisiana State in the NCAA.
