Smith Rowe has recently found his playing time limited at the Emirates Stadium being sidelined by injuries. Furthermore, his name has been linked with other clubs such as Aston Villa. Despite rumors linking the 22-year-old with a move away from the club, Jones claims the midfielder is expected to remain at the club under Mikel Arteta’s supervision. “There have been links with Smith Rowe at one point, but Arsenal still have plans for Smith Rowe, Kieran Tierney will go somewhere else, so I can’t really see that,” he said on the Ranks FC podcast.

Smith Rowe suffered a serious injury and was sidelined as a long-term injury concern for Arsenal. However, the 22-year-old has already made his return from the injury. Smith Rowe started for England U21s in the national team friendlies against France U21 and opened the score at the 50th minute. The youngster’s involvement in the game is a huge boost for the Gunners, who continue to fight for the Premier League title.
