2020/21 Ghana Premier League: Dreams forward Joseph Esso wins MOTM award after scoring hatrick against AshantiGold in 4-1 mauling

Dreams FC forward Joseph Esso was named man of the match after netting a hatrick against AshantiGold SC on Thursday in the Ghana Premier League.

Esso scored thrice to inspire the Believers to beat AshantiGold 4-1 at the Theatre of Dreams in Dawu.

The former Hearts of Oak player scored the opener from the spot in the 7th minute following a handball incident against Samed Ibrahim inside the box.

Esso increased the advantage for Dreams in the 50th minute before completing his hatrick two minutes later.

Esso takes his goal tally of the campaign to 10 after the hatrick.

David Abagna Sandan pulled one back for the Miners with a sumptuous finish in the 86th minute.

Agyenim Boateng Mensah sealed the victory for the hosts with a strike in the 89th minute.

Dreams move up on the league standings to the second place two points behind leaders Karela United FC.
