Naby Keita's second-half spot-kick ensured Asante Kotoko moved up to the third place on the league table following a 1-0 win over Inter Allies in this matchday 12 fixture.
The Porcupine Warriors had dominated the game especially in the first half but could not find the back of the net.
Inter Allies were tactically disciplined and compact at the back making it difficult for Kotoko to break through and score.
Kotoko's lead striker Kwame Poku was fouled in the box in the 66th minute which saw the referee awarding a penalty to the home side.
Naby Keita calmly slotted the ball into the net from the spot to ensure Kotoko returned to winning ways.
