2020/21 Ghana Premier League season kicks off on Nov.13

The 18-Premier League will begin their quest for the league trophy as the  2020/21 Ghana Premier League commences on November 13, 2020 the Ghana Football Association has announced.

The GPL bounces back after a seven month break following the cancellation of last season’s campaign due to the coronavirus outbreak in the West African country.

The league was nearing to the end of the first round before it was brought to a half following government’s directive to curb the spread of the COVID-19.

The Ghana FA on June 30 cancelled the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League season without any promotion and demotion of clubs.

As indicated by government all clubs must adhere to the COVID-19 protocols ahead of the start of the season.

All players and officials are to undertake the mandatory COVID-19 testing before the season commences.

The 2020/21 Ghana Premier League is without an headline sponsor, while StartTimes remains official broadcast right holders of the league.

The season starts on  Friday November 13.

Among the opening weekend games, giants Hearts of Oak have a  have a standout clash with Aduana Stars at Dorma Ahenkro.
