2020/21 Ghana Premier League: Week 29 Match Preview- Karela United vs Legon Cities
Karela United

Karela United will host Legon Cities at the Crosby Awuah Memorial Park, Ayinese on matchday 29 fixture of the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.

The Ayinese-based outfit lost the derby game against Medeama SC at the Akoon Park by a lone goal kind courtesy of Vincent Atinga.

Coach Evans Adotey and his players will be hoping to return to winning ways against Legon Cities in this crucial fixture.

Karela will be without their star player and top scorer for the Ghana Premier League Diawisie Taylor, currently on duty with the national U-23 side in South Korea.

The talented forward was unable to feature in Ghana's U-23 game against Japan's U-24 side due to COVID-19 concerns.

His absence will be a big blow to Karela United as they struggle to maintain their consistency in the ongoing campaign.

Karela United will also be in a desperate position for a win after losing to Medeama away.

They have lost only one game at home this season in the league to Asante Kotoko.

Legon Cities have been impressive so far in the campaign and have gone unbeaten in their last five games.

The Royals eased past Inter Allies on matchday 28 to move up to the ninth position on the league log with 38 points.

Coach Bashiru Hayford seems to have gotten the spark for his side at this crucial moment with a few games to end the season.

Legon Cities have set a target of making top four by the end of the season.
