Aduana Stars continued their scintillating form in the Ghana Premier League on Wednesday after clinching another crucial win on the road against AshantiGold SC.

The Ogya Boys made it five wins on the trot with a 1-0 victory over the Miners at the Len Clay Stadium in Obuasi.

The vital away takes Aduana to the second place on the premiership standings as they are levelled on 17 points with leaders King Faisal Babes.

AshantiGold technical head Thomas Duah made two changes to the squad that defied the odds to beat WAFA SC 1-0 at Sogakope on the weekend.

Defender Richard Osei Agyemang came back to the starting lineup after being sidelined in the last two matches as he replaced Samed Ibrahim.

Abdul Salam also took the place of John Josiah Andoh in the starting places.

On the other hand Aduana head coach Joseph Asare Bediako made only one alteration to the team that pipped Great Olympics 1-0 in Dormaa last Saturday.

Benjamin Tweneboah was handed his second start of the season having taken place of suspended Emmanuel Gyamfi.

The first half of the encounter looked very balanced but it was the away that opened the scoring against the run of play following a swift counter attack.

Bright Adjei after a excellent effort in the middle set up Sam Adams who connected the pass to put the Ogya Boys ahead in the 35th minute.

The Miners came close to getting the equaliser on the stroke of halftime as Kamaradini Mamudu's free-kick from the edge of the box missed the posts by a whisker.

AshantiGold tried all efforts to level the score but the Aduana defence and midfield were solid the prevent any attempts any goal.
