Ghana winger Quincy Owusu-Abeyie says he is excited with his move to Panathinaikos and is looking forward to an impressive season in the Greek Super League.

The 25-year-old joined Panathinaikos on a season-long loan deal from Qatari side Al Sadd last week and is expected to play a crucial role in the club's campaign with the departure of French star Djibril Cisse.

Owusu-Abeyie is now looking into the future with hope of success with the Uefa Champions League campaigners.

"Back to work, I'm so excited. I did a very intense 18 minutes run but it felt very good. I can't wait for the season to start. Its going to be a good and strong season." Quincy wrote on his twitter page.

Quincy is hoping to chart his way back into the Ghana national team.
