Ivan Gazidis and Paolo Maldini are hoping that offering AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic a contract extension will persuade Goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma to remain with a club.

The Rossoneri are currently on top of the Serie A table after winning their first four matches of the 2020/21 season and the Diavolo hierarchy are optimistic that this positive form will encourage their prized assets to remain at the club.

According to Quotidiano Sportivo, Ibrahimovic has a contract with AC Milan until June 2021 but Gazidis and Maldini are hoping that the evergreen Swede can extend his contract for at least another season.

Donnarumma also has a contract with the Rossoneri until June 2021, he strongly wants to renew his contract, and he is also a client of Mino Raiola like Ibrahimovic is.

With the results AC Milan have been obtaining in 2020 with Ibrahimovic in the squad, the club hopes that would convince the Italian starlet to stay, and he could potentially earn €10 million per year.
