AFC Ekilstuna can't make the mistake of driving away players like Emmanuel Frimpong- Ex-Sweden footballer Daniel Nannskog

Swedish football expert Daniel Nannskog says AFC Ekilstuna can't make the mistake of driving away some of the top players after earning promotion back to the top flight.

AFC Eskilstuna defeated Brommapojkarna in the crucial play-offs match at Grimsta with 2-1 victory, qualifying on away go rule after a 2-2 aggregate scoreline.

And according Nannskog, a former Sweden international, sacking players like Emmanuel Frimpong led to the club's relegation in the 2016/17 season.

"It may sound good when the agents come with heavy names, but they may have to check it out better," he said.

"Now it's exciting to see how much money they have and how much it will bet. It's important as a club that they've been up and maybe learned from the mistakes. It may not be possible to drive on players like Emmanuel Frimpong, which they purchased last. It is important to try to be careful. It may sound good when the agents come with those names, but they have to check them out better," he added.

Emmanuel Frimpong has moved on from Ekilstuna and now plies his trade with Cypriot side Ermis.
