AFC U-14 Festival for West zone concludes

Jeddah: The AFC U-14 Regional Festival of Football for the West zone has concluded at the King Abdullah Sports City, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

A total of 52 goals were scored during the 16 matches held between nine participating nations - Bahrain, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE.

A closing ceremony was held after the festival’s last game between hosts Saudi Arabia and Lebanon.

Medals and certificates of participation were presented to all 162 players, 36 team officials and referees during ceremony with the festival having been successfully organised and met its objectives.

 AFC Festival Manager Dr. Shamil Kamil expressed gratitude for the Saudi Arabian Football Association for their hospitality and successfully hosting the event and thanked all the teams for their participation.

He also encouraged the participating AFC Member Associations to continue supporting youth football development back home.
