Unsettled Asante Kotoko striker Ahmed Toure claims he has been treated like an ‘outcast’ by coach Maxwell Konadu.

The future of the Ivorian has been at the centre of intense conjecture over the past few weeks with reports linking him with a move away from the club.

Toure struggled to get regular playing time in the second half of the season after he fell behind Ben Acheampong and Kofi Nti Boakye in the pecking order.

He has also reportedly lost out of favour with the Black Stars assistant coach accusing him of unfairly treatment.

Their relationship is believed to have hit the rocks.

“A week before our game against Berekum Chelsea in the President Cup, I went to training on Monday and when I got there for a friendly on Tuesday, I was told to sit down because I was not welcomed,” Toure told Kumasi-based Fox FM

“When I enquired as to the reasons, I was told I was a stand-by player. When I asked the coach, he said only players who trained on Monday, would be allowed to play in the friendly on Tuesday.

“Meanwhile I trained on Monday and others who did not train on the Monday were allowed to play while I looked on.

“Since then I decided not to go to training. He makes me feel unwanted at the club. I don’t have any problem with anybody.

“I have taken my decision to move on but if we sit down and talk,  then I am ready to play. My love and commitment to this great club cannot be questioned and everybody knows that."

Reports have emerged that the 24-year-old is being courted by Kotoko’s rivals Hearts and will cross carpet to join the capital-based side if his contract expires.
