Al Khartoum coach Kwesi Appiah the increased demand of Sudanese clubs in Ghanaian players is testament to the high quality of players being produced in the West African country.

Two Ghanaian players; Abeiku Ainooson and Kennedy Ashia have already been snapped up by a Sudanese club with hints of more players from the Ghanaian top flight following suit.

The arrival of Ainooson and Ashia swells the number of Ghanaians who already play in the lucrative league.

Augustine Okrah and Francis Coffie have been playing in Sudan for over a year now.

And their impressive performance for their respective clubs, the ex Black Stars coach believes is the reason behind the increased demand for Ghanaian players in Sudan.

“The Ghanaian players there have been doing so well,” Appiah said.

“That is why there is an increased interest and demand of Ghanaian players in Sudan.

“They want the quality of their league to be enhanced using the Ghanaian players.”
