Sunderland boss Sam Allardyce wants to match the success of good friend Peter Reid on Wearside.
Allardyce has won three of his six games in charge.
"From my own point of view, I'm proud of the fact that wherever I've been I've always left the club better off than when I took over.
"So my ultimate goal would be to, in the end, try and emulate what Peter Reid did here, my old mate. I want to try and be as good as he was."
