Ampem Darkoa Ladies FC paid a visit to Ghana Football Association president Kurt Okraku in Accra on Monday, following the CAF Women's Champions League WAFU B qualifiers.

The team was led by owner Nana Fosu Gyeabuor II.

The purpose of the visit was to brief the president on the teams' participation in the tournament in Yamoussoukro, Ivory Coast, after losing the trophy to Bayelsa Queens of Nigeria in the final.

Executive Council Member Frederick Acheampong, who was in Yammossoukro for the final, was also in attendance.

Despite missing out on the trophy and a spot in the CAF Women's Champions League in Morocco, Okraku praised the team's efforts.

He urged the team to build on their achievements in future contests, including the upcoming Women's League season.

Nana Fosu Gyeabour II expressed gratitude to the Football Association for the enormous logistical and financial support provided to the team ahead of their participation in the competition.

He also praised the Okraku and GFA for having the women's game at heart and praised the effort of bringing on board various partners, the most recent being the announcement of Malta Guinness as the Ghana Women's Premier League headline sponsor.
