Ghanaian youngster Imanuel Bonsu signs first professional contract with FC Utrecht

Dutch born Ghanaian youngster Imanuel Bonsu has inked his first professional contract with Eredivisie side FC Utrecht. 

The 17-year old signed a three year contact with the first team of Utrecht after impressing at the youth side.

Bonsu joined the Academy of Utrecht in the summer of 2018 and has paved his way into the first team with impressive displays.

“Imanuel is a right-footed, physically strong controlling midfielder. He is strong defensively; a real ball conqueror ”, says Technical Director of the club Jordy Zuidam. 

"He has the ability to cover the entire field, is a so-called box-to-box player. In recent seasons he also made the necessary important goals. Imanuel is a real team player and we are happy that we have joined him for three seasons.”

The teenager previously played for the youth set ups of Heerenveen and Ajax.
