Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has confirmed his admiration for Malaga winger Santi Cazorla.

The Gunners have already spent £23million on Germany star Lukas Podolski and France international Olivier Giroud this summer and are thought to be close to a £15m deal for the 27-year-old.

Wenger said: “I share the opinion of Mikel Arteta — Cazorla is a great player.

“We bought Giroud and Podolski and I hope that we will have [Abou] Diaby and [Jack] Wilshere, too, who didn’t play at all last season.

“We will add Wilshere to the squad as soon as possible. But we are not at the end of it [transfers] — we will still bring players in.”
