Iconic striker Asamoah Gyan was on target for Premier League side Legon Cities in their 3-1 defeat to the Black Stars in a friendly match on Wednesday.

USM Algiers new signing Kwame Poku opened the scoring for the senior national team after capitalizing on a defensive howler.

Mubarak Wakaso increased the tally at the start of the second half before Bechem United captain Salifu Moro made it 3-0.

Substitute Asamoah Gyan grabbed the consolation for the Ghana Premier League  side - connecting beautifully to beat goalkeeper Eric Ofori Antwi.

Coach Charles Akonnor assembled a dominated home-based side for the friendly match with a number of foreign-based players unable to travel for the double-header due to Covid-19 concerns.

The Black Stars are using the friendly matches to prepare for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against South Africa and Sao Tome this month.
