Asante Kotoko defender Abdul Ganiyu is grateful for the opportunity to represent Ghana after playing two games for the Black Stars last week.
Due to his impressive performances in the Ghana Premier League, Ganiyu earned a debut call-up for Black Stars’ final games in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Fortunately for him, he featured in both games and gave a positive account of himself as Black Stars sealed qualification to Cameroon.
Ganiyu made his debut in the 1-1 stalemate against South Africa at the FNB Stadium last Thursday.
Akonnor, impressed by his performance in Johannesburg, rewarded with another start against Sao Tome and Principe â a match that finished 3-1 in favour of the Black Stars at the Accra Sports stadium.
After the game, Ganiyu wrote on Twitter: "Alhamdulillah and thank you for your support and the opportunity."
