Ashantigold have set the target of reaching the group stages of the CAF Confederation Cup next season.

The Miners are representing Ghana in the continent's second tier competition, following the abrupt end to the 2019/20 season.

Having played in last season's competition, the Obuasi based club will again compete for continental glory.

However, the club are poised to reach the 'money zone', according to Communications Director Eric Karikari.

"AshantGold is ever ready to compete with the big boys on the continent. Our target for the Africa cup campaign is to qualify for the group stage (Money Zone)," Karikari told OTEC Fm

"We have players who are ready and hungry for success, they are willing to fight for the team," he added.

The Miners has started the process of returning to group training, although they will be waiting for clearance from government.

Players of Ashantigold have undertaken the CID-19 test waiting for full scale training.
