Ashantigold defender Richard Osei Agyemang has revealed that the players are ready to represent Ghana in Africa after the FA confirmed they will participate in the Confederation Cup.

The Ghana Football Association announced the cancellation of the current season on Tuesday, without a winner and with no team relegated.

However, per the relevant provisions of the CAF inter-club football Regulations, Asante Kotoko SC and AshGold SC will represent Ghana in the CAF Champions League and the Confederations Cup respectively.

The Miners participated in last season's Confederation Cup, and were eliminated by Moroccan side RS Berkane.

“We are ready if the team owner is ready who are we (Players) to say no. Medeama SC and Aduana Stars will never say that they are not ready if they got this opportunity,” Osei Agyemang told OTEC FM.

Ashantigold reached the final round of the qualifiers to the group stage before they were booted out of the competition by the North Africans.

Meanwhile, the Executive Council will meet on Thursday, July 9, 2020 to discuss all issues relating to the next football season and Congress.
