AshGold Chief Executive explains Acheampong's sacking

AshantiGold CEO Kudjoe Fianoo says the club's board has had enough of poor hence the dismissal of coach Yaw Acheampong.

The former Ghana international alongside his assistant Kamara Dini were shown the exit on Tuesday following a string of poor results.

The Miners currently lie 6th in the Ghanaian top flight after 11 games.

But the club's board believes the season's returns so far are not good enough leading to the decision to fire the former club captain.

"We started the season with high hopes, we promised the people of Obuasi from the technical team that this season we will deliver the league title," Fianoo said.

"Things are however not going according to plan, we lost three consecutive games- two at home and one away.

"We therefore decided that enough is enough."
