Alberto Grassi is set to pen a five-year contract at Napoli, with his move to the Stadio San Paolo expected to be confirmed on Monday.
With the player widely expected to move away from Atalanta since the opening of the transfer window, Edy Reja’s decision to omit the 20-year-old from his squad for Saturday’s game with Frosinone was taken as confirmation of his exit.
As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Grassi will sign a deal at the Partenopei that will see him contracted to the club until 2021.
The Brescia-native played 49 times for the Bergamo club’s Primavera side before breaking into the first team.
Since the beginning of the current campaign, Grassi has been a regular in Reja’s starting XI, playing 13 times in Serie A so far this season.
