Atletico Madrid consider move for Juventus striker

Atletico Madrid are the latest club to be linked with Juventus striker Alvaro Morata.

The Spanish side, along with city rivals Real Madrid, were recently handed a transfer ban by FIFA but have since appealed the decision, resulting in their bans being suspended.

Thus, according to reports from Madrid-based newspaper AS, Diego Simeone’s side are the latest to show an interest in obtaining the player’s signature, who has also been linked with Premier League sides: Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool.

If their efforts to sign the 23-year-old do fail, then Atletico have also identified two of their former strikers, with Juventus teammate Mario Mandzukic and Chelsea striker Diego Costa, becoming possible candidates.

The club are also looking at Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy, who has scored a phenomenal 18 goals in 24 Premier League appearances, and Tottenham hitman Harry Kane.
