Black Stars winger Christian Atsu was left out of the FC Porto squad that defeated Benfica 2-1 in the Portugal derby on Saturday.
Porto boss VÃtor Pereira, left out the Ghana, 21, from his 18-man squad for the game that took place at the Estádio Do Dragão .
Atsu's recent form at Porto has not been the best as he was an unused substitute last weekend.
He could regain his regular place in the Porto team for their Primeira Liga game against Paços de Ferreira next Sunday.
