The agent of Ghana coach Avram Grant has rubbished reports that the Israeli manager is on the verge of joining English Premier League side Swansea City insisting his client is happy with the Black Stars.

Saif Rubie insists no contact has been made by Swansea City to poach the Black Stars coach despite widespread reports that the Israeli manager is set to be appointed by the Swans.

Swansea are on the hunt for a new coach following the dismissal of Garry Monk on Wednesday and the Welsh club have pencilled Avram Grant as one of its targets to take up the vacant job.

But agent of Avram Grant, Saif Rubie insists his client is happy being coach of Ghana and that no contact has been made by Swansea for his services.

“On the record just to say as Avram Grant's agent that he is happy as the coach of @ghanafaofficial Blackstars. @SwansOfficial not in touch,” Rubie posted on Twitter.

Avram Grant has one more year to run on his current contract as coach of the Ghana national team.

He has been credited for breathing life back into the Black Stars after a disastrous campaign at the 2014 World Cup as he came within a penalty kick of winning the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea.

GHANAsoccernet.com can confirm the Swans a plotting to make a move on the Israeli to lure him into making a return to managing a Premier League club.
