The last precedent was in the last 16 of the 2017-2018 Champions League against Chelsea.

Barcelona tied to 1-1 away from home, this time in San Paolo against Napoli, thanks to Griezmann, who saved the furniture.

It is the fourteenth time in a first leg in the European tournaments and in 12 of them ended up progressing. The last time Barca picked a 1-1 in the first round was also in the round of 16 in the Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

The precedents in which Barça was eliminated after a 1-1 home in Europe was in the knockout of the 1992/93 Champions League round against CSKA Moscow. The Russians won (2-3) in Barcelona after raising a 2-0.

The second and final KO was in the quarterfinals of the Champions 2002/03 against Juventus: 1-2 in the overtime at Camp Nou. It was Zalayeta's goal after a culé siege. A bit that made the Bianconeri fans explode with joy displaced to Barcelona.
